Hoffman receives All Star nod

B-Sens forward Mike Hoffman has been named to the 2014 AHL All Star Team.  Hoffman leads the B-Sens in goals (16), assists (24), points (40), and shots (115), and is the team's lone representative to the ASG.

It may seem surprising that only one Binghamton Senator made the cut, but because of this being an Olympic year there's a twist to the mid-season exhibition.  Rather than an East vs. West game, as is typically played, this year's contest will feature 20 of the AHL's best against Frjestad BK, one of the top professional teams in the Swedish Hockey League.  The skills competition will take place on February 11th with the game itself played on the 12th.  Both events will be at the Mile One Centre in St. John's, New Foundland.

The AHL All Stars will be coached by Jeff Blashill, head coach of the Grand Rapids Griffins and Rob Zettler, head coach of the Syracuse Crunch.
