Vestal facing sewer rate increase

VESTAL -- Vestal residents are now facing another sewer rate increase.

Wednesday night, the Vestal Town Board held a public hearing where many residents expressed their concerns and displeasure of what they were now facing. Officials say that Vestal residents could be looking at a seven to eight percent increase in cost from their current expenses.

"I don't anticipate the rates going down, I see more increase and until we can get above it and on top of this infrastructure," said Scott Groats, Vestal Water Superintendent

Groats went on to say that he believes that this could not only affect the the county but possible the state.
