Tip for Fire Safety in the Winter Weather

Binghamton fire officials say they have had a decrease in emergency calls the past two days.. The fire fighters credit the cold weather for keeping residents indoors.
 
They say slippery conditions will slow them down but there is something you can do to increase their response time..

Clear fire hydrants..

 
The captain says this is also the time of year they respond to more river rescues and calls for carbon monoxide poisoning.
