It's been a memorable season for Johnson City native Jerry D'Amigo. Six games after getting called up to the NHL, he scored his first career goal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Less than a month after that, he was playing in the Winter Classic in the Big House against the Detroit Red Wings.
The Leafs won in a shootout, and while he did not register a shot on goal, D'Amigo says he was like a kid in a candy store when taking the ice.
Former Fox 40 Sports Director Erik Columbia, now with WEYI in Flint, MI, caught up with D'Amigo after the game.
