Last year, the America East Rookie of the Week Award might as well have been named the "Jordan Reed Award," as the then BU freshmen seemed to take home the honor on a regular basis. Now a sophomore, Reed collected his second Conference Player of the Week Award this week.
Meanwhile, freshmen Marlon Beck took home the Conference Rookie of the Week for his play in the win over Mount Saint Mary's and the loss to Syracuse. Beck averaged 16.5 points in those two games. He is the third BU freshmen to earn the award this season, joining Nick Madray and Magnus Richards.
Tommy Dempsey said Yosef Yacob has been the recipient of some good-natured banter in the locker room about when he's going to earn his Rookie of the Week.
To hear Dempsey's full comments tune into Fox 40 News at Ten on Sunday for our second episode of The Bearcat Breakdown.
