It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in the Southern Tier and this year a local tree farm opened early for people who already started celebrating the holiday season.
Molyneaux Tree Farm on Sherder Road in Endicott opened Saturday with a new addition for customers. The farm added a gift shop filled with items from local vendors. It normally opens after Thanksgiving but owners already sold more than twenty Christmas trees this weekend.
"Everybody's been very thankful that we opened early. They're trying to get their holiday started for Thanksgiving, because it's so quick into December once Thanksgiving is over," said Satci Molyneaux, owner of Molyneaux Tree Farm.
Molyneaux is also providing this year's tree for the Binghamton Mets. It's over 35 feet tall and will be displayed downtown.
