Bearcats need faster starts

The BU Bearcats came off the ten point, come from behind win against Cornell, with an encore performance that consisted of an 18 point loss to Navy.  After the game, Head Coach Tommy Dempsey was at a loss for words and called his team's performance "embarrassing" and "unacceptable."  Sophomore guard Jordan Reed even said he was sorry to the fans that showed up to watch the game.

The Bearcats never led in the contest.  The Midshipmen got off to an 8-0 start in the first half, and the Bearcats only hit double digits with less than 7:00 to play in the half.  As a team, BU only shot 28% from the field.

Dempsey says, the team has been getting off to very slow starts the last few games and just going through the motions on offense.  If the team hopes to win Saturday against Radford, they need to come ready to run, right out of the gate.

Tip off is scheduled for 2:00 at the Events Center.
