Bearcats confident for season opener

Tommy Dempsey and Nicole Scholl were at the Double Tree on Monday to kick off the weekly coaches show with Roger Neel on WNBF Radio, Monday.  Both coaches and their teams kick off the season on Friday.  The women host Buffalo at 5:30 and the men host Loyola at 8:00, in what is expected to be a sold out Events Center.

While Dempsey and the men's team periodically struggled against D-II Bloomsburg on Saturday, they came away victorious 48-47.  While it may have been as pretty as he hoped, Dempsey said it was a good growing experience for his young Bearcats team, and they've built on that during their first two days of practice this week.
