B-Sens hit the links for charity

The Binghamton Senators traded in their skates and sticks for cleats and clubs Tuesday at Traditions at the Glen.

The B-Sens once again partnered with the Wendy's Walk for Kids for their annual B-Sens Golf Classic.  Last year the event raised $20,000, this year they hope to raise $25,000.  The event is growing in popularity every year, with a lot of the same faces returning.

"They are coming back every year because the coaching staff and the organization has a certain standard of how their players are going to behave and interact with the community and they do a fantastic job," said Keli Cooper, Event Organizer, Wendy's Walk for Kids

"For me, it always gives me a good feeling to see the players helping out, giving back to a community that gives so much to them," said B-Sens Head Coach Luke Richardson.

"There's a lot of people that support this team and this town and it's good to get out and interact with them, and it's for a good cause so, that always makes it a little bit better," said B-Sens Captain, Mark Borowiecki.

The tournament concludes with a live auction and a dinner, that is expected to draw 200 people.
