Hundreds of people came together at the American Legion, Saturday to help raise "Dollars for D-Rog."
Dan Rogers of Binghamton was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last month. More than 20 of his friends organized the benefit to raise money to help cover his medical bills. Rogers said it's overwhelming to see everyone who attended the event to support him.
"The event all day has been unreal. You know really, it's crazy how many people come out when there's a good cause," Rogers said.
The event had food, drinks, raffles and 50/50 prizes. It even had a silent auction to help raise funds. Rogers friends say they hope to hold more fundraisers and events like this in the future .
