9/24/2013 (Updated 11:10:37 PM)A casual setting for local pharmacist Julieanne Marra at Endwell Rotary Tuesday, gave Rotarians a chance to ask whatever they wanted.
She brought up issues such as making sure to tell your pharmacist or health care provider if you're taking any over the counter, herbal, or vitamin supplements as to not interact with prescription medications.
Also, how pharmacists have been dealing with prescription fraud and a new website the state has been using that both doctors and pharmacists can use to see what drugs have been prescribed to what patients.
"We don't have the resources to say you're in trouble, but we can partner with the doctor and ask did you know that there might be a problem here, there's an issue they're going to multiple doctors, multiple pharmacies, getting multiple pain medication," said Julieanne Marra a registered pharmacist.
Also, if you have left over prescription meds don't throw them out or flush them down the toilet.
