After the Day of Caring United Way, volunteers were invited to
the Town Square Mall in Vestal to enjoy some dinner and kick-off this year's fundraising efforts.
Friday marked the kick-off for this year's fundraising campaign. United Way of Broome County's goal is to raise 3.25 million dollars that will go towards helping over 40 community programs like the Red Cross and YMCA.
"United Way is the largest funding of those programs in the community and across the country. So agencies look to us for support and we look to them to do those kind of good programs that need to be done," said Alan Hertel, Executive Director of United Way of Broome County.
