Thater Memorial begins 30th year

BINGHAMTON -- Thirty years ago, the Chris Thater Memorial began as a symbolic ride for cyclist Chris Thater who was killed by a drunk driver, while riding his bicycle. 

Now, the event has become a two day event with some of the best cyclists and runners from around the country and the world, and also has a series of concerts and musical acts.

Saturday's events began in the morning and continued throughout the evening.
