While speeding on the raceway was acceptable Sunday, Governor Andrew Cuomo is cracking down on those who push the petal to the metal off the race track.
The governor announced Sunday New York State Police will be conducting a week long initiative targeting speeding and aggressive drivers.
Drivers can expect to see more troopers on major highways and unmarked patrol vehicles. The goal of this campaign is to reduce the amount of crashes and improve safety for those traveling on New York roads.
