Village of Endicott Investigates Water Testing Results

As we've reported, the Village of Endicott was investigating if there were any issues with water testing that took place in the Village from 2008 to 2010 after Upstate Laboratory plead guilty to mail fraud over the backdating of samples.
After meeting with Village Water and Sewer personnel, the Deputy Mayor says a 2009 test could have been falsified. However, he says there's been no discernible difference in results from that time to now and no reason for residents to worry.
"Were the results we got back from that lab, were they out of line with other test results we've had over the last three years? And he said no. There wasn't anything that would indicate that. Everything was uniform. There wasn't all of a sudden spike upward or down that was included in that report," said Deputy Mayor Dave Baker.
Upstate Laboratories lost its certification and since then, the Village has been using a different water testing company.
