ACHIEVE Raises Money for Building Rehab Project
7/20/2013 (Updated 10:52:23 PM)BINGHAMTON -- Usually you go to a barbecue for the food. But for those at a barbecue Saturday in Binghamton, it was all about helping others.
The organization ACHIEVE hosted a day of food, music, and fun to raise money for a building rehabilitation project. Construction on the Cutler Pond Road facility began in March, and will allow the agency to serve more people with developmental disabilities in the community.
"What brings us here is a fundraiser for Achieve, for our Capital Campaign. The Sons of Italy have been gratuitous enough to allow us to hold an event here. Anthony Testani and Joe Ballo helped organize the event and we are very grateful for it," said Bob Brazill, Development Officer.
Organizers say they hope to raise $1000 dollars for the cause.
