Eight local fire companies responded to a fire at 1327 Airport Road at about 7:15 pm. The fire was under control by 9:15. We spoke with fire fighters at the scene and they said there were no injuries, and they seem to have determined the cause.
"Investigation says that the fire was caused by a lightning strike. We currently have 7 to 8 companies operating from various departments, a lot of man power."
Fire fighters were still cleaning up the area at about 9:30 pm.
