Residents of Candor also celebrated Independence Day. The week-long celebration is at the ballpark on Route 96.
People are enjoying carnival rides, games, food, chicken barbecue, and live entertainment. It gives families a great opportunity to spend quality time together.
"Well it's been a tradition for our family for over 60 years. When I was a kid, I used to ride horse in the family parade. We've been in the area for a long time. It's just tradition to come here and spend it with family and friends," said Candor resident Lisa Rose.
There was also a fireworks show held at dusk on Thursday in the ball park.
