B-Mets reflect on All Star Selections

BINGHAMTON -- When you have the best record in the Eastern League, the All Star nods are bound to come.

For the B-Mets, they have five players heading to New Britain on July 10th. Today, some of them offered their thoughts on what it feels like to be recognized for their spectacular play.

"It's an honor. There's a lot of great players in this league and especially on this team, so to be going representing the Mets is an incredible honor," said B-Mets starting pitcher Logan Verrett.

First baseman Allan Dykstra added, "It's just awesome to make the All Star team this year. It's also a reflection of how our team has been playing. We've been playing great and it's always easier to say you have great numbers, a great offensive year when your team is playing well."

Cesar Puello explained that the rewards shouldn't end here, "They're not going to stop right there. We just have to continue to work and do what we are supposed to do every day."
