The futures of Ithaca and Binghamton are looking bright, literally.
A new study ranks the two cities as some of the smartest in the country.
Ithaca came in at number one while Binghamton ranked 81.
The study is based off of data from more than 3 million people in the United States between the ages of 18 and 75 who had played several of Luminosity's brain-training games. The company's games measure cognitive areas like memory and problem solving.
Broome County Executive Announces Lung Cancer Diagnosis
Broome County Executive Debbie Preston announced today that she has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
Preston has been in office since 2012.
In a statement, Preston said she has no plans to stop working and that she feels great both physically and mentally.
