If a Binghamton University student comes up with the next great business idea, they may have plenty of time and space to get it off the ground.
That's because starting in September part of a new dorm will be dedicated entirely to students interested in entrepreneurship.
28 students making up a mix of new, returning, and transfer students will live in the new space.
"We're going to let the students define what they do. Some expectations are they'll have some teleconferencing opportunities with alumni and local business leaders. They're going to take a course together. They'll have a seminar-type course with a faculty advisor from the School of Management," said BU Faculty Master, Dickinson Community Jeffrey Barker.
Barker says if the living arrangement is successful this coming school year, the entreprenurial space could expand in the future.
