As part of round two of Governor Cuomo's SUNY 2020 Plan, BCC will continue to see more upgraded facilities.
Four plans were approved for the NYSUNY 2020 Challenge Grant Program. As part of the "Retooling the Southern Tier" program, BCC will partner with Alfred State, Corning Community College, and Jamestown Community College to stimulate future manufacturing in The Tier.
"With manufacturing still being the single largest economic sector in the Southern Tier, it makes sense, as manufacturing has gone into resurgence here in the U.S., for us to support that 21st century workforce," said BCC President Kevin Drumm.
The state will contribute $15 million to each plan, meaning about $3 million will go to BCC.
