Are you traveling this Memorial Day weekend? If you're not, you're not alone.
According to AAA, Memorial Day travel is down slightly from last year, just one percent, despite gas prices being down about 15 cents from last year. A company representative says the economy plays a big factor on whether people take a trip or not.
"The weather forecast certainly doesn't help with making last minute plans, and the economy isn't really any better than it was last year. So little things like that catch up, but all in all, the 1% drop isn't too bad," said AAA of Southern New York President Richard Jacobs.
According to gasbuddy.com, New York's prices are averaging $3.72 per gallon, which is 17 cents cheaper than a year ago today.
