VESTAL -- The America East Baseball Tournament gets underway Wednesday night with the Bearcats holding their first-ever two seed.
The high seeding is no surprise for BU, with nine players receiving All-Conference honors. One of those, on the second team, is Wednesday's starting pitcher Jake Lambert. The team confident sending its righty to the mound against Albany.
Head Coach Tim Sinicki offered, "Jake's a two-year conference starter for us. He has shown the ability to beat any team in the conference over the last two seasons. He's pitched well against Albany."
The man himself, Jake Lambert, added, "I feel good with my fastball. I'm locating my fastball. My slider is good. I can throw it in any count. I got a change up too that I can sneak in there."
