Pair of BHS Seniors to play at Lemoyne

BINGHAMTON -- A pair of Patriot seniors signed their letters of intent to play collegiate athletics at Lemoyne College on Monday.

Caity Kuhnen, who scored over 1000 points in her BHS career, will join the Dolphins Women's Basketball Team. Chase Westbrook will play lacrosse at Lemoyne.

Both students discussed what led them to make their decisions.

For Kuhnen, it was a sense of familiarity. "Once I met Coach Gina, she's actually a new coach, she was just awesome and she reminded me a lot of Coach Lemon, my high school coach. And the team. The girls are just so nice and I'm so excited to play there," she said.

Westbrook, who also considered Division I programs like Hobart, said it was more about location, "The area. I've always liked Syracuse. I've gone up to the games around there ever since I was little. That was really the big thing. The city, and the school life around there."

Both Kuhnen and Westbrook also said they are grateful to have a fellow classmate attending Lemoyne.
