Could waves of color help brighten the outlook for those suffering from mental illness?
The Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier is looking to bring "The Color Run" 5k to Binghamton. During the run the participants get doused in different colors, all to promote health, happiness, and individuality.
The organizers of the color run chooses a local charity for each city it visits and the mental health association is trying to be that charity for Binghamton.
"Anytime you can pick up and do something fun and enjoyable together is very powerful and I think this would be a great way to do it," Developmental Director at the Mental Health Association, Joanne Weir.
