An incident at a house party last year in which a man died has led to an indictment of criminally negligent homicide and second degree assault.
The man charged is 26 year old Joshua Launt of Binghamton. Authorities say that during an argument at a home in Windsor, Launt struck 51 year old Ronald Gilbert of Kirkwood, over the head. Gilbert was pronounced dead at the scene.
Launt was arrested on Thursday in Watertown. He was returned to Broome County, and sent to Broome County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.
