Pair of high-schoolers to play college ball at LeMoyne

BINGHAMTON -- A pair of local athletes signed on to play college ball at LeMoyne Tuesday.

Maine-Endwell's David Zielewicz will join the Dolphins' lacrosse team. The middie is the Spartans' team captain and a three-year varsity starter.

Joining David is Seton's Alyssa Ricci, who will be attending LeMoyne to play soccer.

Both student athletes are happy to be doing what they love so close to home.

Zielewicz says, "Being close to home definitely played a big part in my decision. I love my family. I love being around them. I look forward to having my family at most or all of my home games."

Ricci echoes the sentiment, "My parents can come watch all my home games. I can go home any time I'd like to. It's only an hour and a half away."

Fox 40 will have more signing news later this week.
