B-Mets break out the bats against Akron

BINGHAMTON, NY  Logan Verrett allowed two runs on just two base hits through eight innings as the B-Mets topped the Akron Aeros, 7-2, Saturday afternoon at NYSEG Stadium.

Alonzo Harris got the offense going right away, smashing a leadoff home run over the left field wall in the bottom of the first. Akrons Chris Wallace matched Harris with a solo shot against Verrett to lead off the top of the second; one of the two base hits allowed by the right-hander.
