Video Blog: Jon Jones weighs in

(Source: Eva Zaccaria)

NEWARK, NJ -- I arrived in Newark with photographer Chris Keaty this afternoon to see Jon Bones Jones and Chael Sonnen weigh-in before tomorrow night's UFC 159.

For the light heavyweight main event, Sonnen took the stage first, looking stoic as he stepped on the scale. The challenger weighed in at 205 pounds.

And then the champion emerged to a mix of cheers and boos. Jon Bones Jones, escorted by younger brother and New England Patriot Chandler Jones, threw his shoes and socks into the crowd before taking the stage.

The champ, who is defending his title for the fifth time, weighed in at 205 as well.

After the two stepped off the scales, comedian and announcer Joe Rogan interviewed each contender.

Chael Sonnen continued his trash talking, giving his opinion on how the fight will go down, "He brought down the hometown hero and when it was all said and done, it was one more in record books, one more in the win column and one more for the bad guy."

Jones does not see the fight playing out that way.

"The way I look at Chael is just a road block. A road block that I need to get past and continue on my dreams to become the greatest fighter of all time," says the defending champ.
