Endicott Sewer Rates to be Raised
4/19/2013 (Updated 7:28:50 PM)ENDICOTT -- Endicott residents can soon expect to pay more for sewer use.
A State Audit released Wednesday shows the tentative budgets for the water and sewer funds are not balanced, and each include a deficit of over $200,000. Endicott Mayor John Bertoni says he was worked to keep the rates at a minimum cost, with no rate increase for water, and 10 cents per 1,000 gallons of sewer use.
"We'll be moving forward in the next year to make those even better. It'll be an ever-evolving thing in which we have to make improvements," said Endicott Mayor John Bertoni.
Bertoni says the town is waiting to hear from FEMA which could help pay for flood recovery-- and help cut down the village's deficit.
