"Drill Baby Drill" Documentary Comes To Endicott Friday
4/11/2013 (Updated 10:51:19 PM)
A new environmental documentary will be shown Friday night in Endicott.
"Drill Baby Drill" is a film by Utica native Lech Kowalski. The film follows a family of farmers in Poland as they band together to protect their land from shale-gas drilling.
It also mirrors farmers from Pennsylvania and the effect it's had on their community.
"I mean it could even be about another subject matter not hydrofracking. It's about a group of people, farmers who don't know anything about the big media, the big corporations, and how they set themselves up in order to fight this kind of a monster. It came into their lives, their territory and how they were able to push that off," said filmmaker, Lech Kowalski.
The 84 minute film will be shown at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Endicott.
