Police Say Man Tampered With Evidence By Swallowing Drugs
3/30/2013 (Updated 10:58:02 PM)A Binghamton man is behind bars police after say he tampered with evidence by swallowing drugs.
The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force with help from the Binghamton Police arrested Jerell Thompson of 21 Baxter Street following a search of his apartment.
Police they found 30 envelopes of suspected heroin and over $1,000 in cash. They say Thompson tampered with evidence by swallowing what they believed to be cocaine and had to be transported to the hospital.
He is facing two felony charges and is now in the Broome County Jail.
