4-H Group Gives Back to Elders
3/30/2013 (Updated 10:58:24 PM)BINGHAMTON -- A local group of kids is giving back to their elders.
The 4-H Club of Broome County came to Willow Point Nursing Home Saturday to distribute blankets they made for the residents. The kids say they were inspired to spend hours creating the blankets after one of the member's mothers said the residents get cold.
"I feel good to give it to them because they appreciate it and they can stay warm," said member Sophi Folejwski.
"It's cute, it's got little spiders on it. It'll be great for my bed," said resident Stuart Goldman.
4-H is the nation's largest youth development group, designed to give kids a way to grow as leaders and innovators.
