Vigil Held For Candor Seventh Grader
3/15/2013 (Updated 10:40:15 PM)
13-year-old Dominic Sorrentino .
The 7th grader died while playing with his brothers at his home in his yard. He was in a tree and the branch snapped.
At the McNiell Pavillion in Candor-- local residents came out for a candle light vigil to remember Dominic and show their support for the family grieving the death of the young boy and a family who lost a mother to cancer just a few years ago.
A friend of Dominic's father says he has been offering his father these words of support.
"That he has three other boys, and Dominic loved him as a father and he's been a good father raising the four boys by himself." said Jack Applegarth.
About 200 people attended the vigil and organizers told Fox 40 people who didn't know Dominic came out to offer their support and condolences.
