State Police Warn Residents of Telephone Scam

New York State Police have issued a warning to area residents about a telephone scam.

They say residents in Delaware and Chenango Counties have been receiving calls-- asking for money for new uniforms for state troopers or for officers killed or injured in the line of duty.  State Police say they do not solicit funds.  They say citizens should be cautious about any phone solicitations.
