M-E Girls advance to State Title, Oneonta loses in hard-fought semis

TROY, N.Y. -- The Girls Class A and Class B semifinals were held Friday at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy.
The Oneonta girls faced defending champ Irvington and lost 55-53. The Yellow Jackets were down by as many as 14 in the second half and fell just shy of the comeback. Mariah Ruff finished with 26 points.
In Class A, Maine-Endwell defeated Harborfields 53-46 to advance to Saturday night's championship game. That contest tips off at 7 PM.
