Busy day for New York teams as NFL Free Agency begins

NEW YORK -- As soon as the clock hit 4 PM on Tuesday and signaled the start of NFL Free Agency, teams in New York and around the nation got down to business.
The Giants will have to start looking for a new starter at tight end yet again, as Martellus Bennett has reached a four year deal with the Chicago Bears. Bennett leaves the Big Blue after a career year in which he had five touchdown.
The Giants' MetLife Stadium counterparts the Jets also made a couple changes, restructuring Santonio Holmes' contract to create cap space and releasing their long time nose tackle Sione Pouha.
Over in Buffalo, the Bills parted ways with starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and took a more than ten million dollar hit to their salary cap. After a rough season, the team decided that Fitzpatrick did not have what it takes as a starter in Chan Gailey's system.
