One and Done in AE Tourney for BU Women

ALBANY -- The seventh seeded Bearcats took on #2 Hartford at SEFCU Arena in Albany this afternoon and lost 68-53.

The Hawks set the tone for the game in the first half, and afterwards that was the main focus for the Bearcats.

Kara Elofson, who had 10 points and 9 rebounds, stated, "The difference between the first half and the second half was definitely detail things. We had a lot of miscommunications on defense, which led to them scoring. I think that hurt us a lot."

Poor shooting was part of the struggle for BU. Jasbriell Swain, who went 3-9 on the afternoon, said, "We had a lot of good looks. We weren't knocking them down... Coach came in and told us at halftime they were shooting 50% and we were shooting 30."

Head Coach Nicole Scholl said afterwards, "Defensively I thought they got some easy transition buckets so that hurt us, and some better looks than what we got."

The Bearcats finish the season 6-24. The men play Stony Brook tomorrow at 6 PM.
