Kids and Gambling

Parents often talk to their kids about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, but what about gambling?

At Lourdes Hospital, experts suggest looking out for signs that there could be a gambling problem-- which include mood changes, missing money, hosting games, and talking about gambling.

"We as a society don't think of gambling as an issue, it's more like an entertainment thing, it's for fun. As a younger person their brains are more at risk for developing a problem with gambling just like with drugs as well," said Substance Abuse Prevention Instructor,Maria Fabrizi.
