A record number of prospective freshmen are hoping to obtain a seat in Binghamton University's Class of 2017.

According to the school, almost 30,000 applications have been received for the fall semester, a new record.

Graduate school admissions have also reached a new record of 3,400 applications, an increase of 66.6% over the past year.

According to the school's website, they were named the fourth "Best Value Public College for 2012" by the Princeton Review.
