BINGHAMTON -- A series of stream and river gauges in the Susquehanna basin that were set to go off-line Friday now have new life.
According to Senator Charles Schumer, gauges will stay operational until June 1st.
Schumer and other officials have urged the Federal Government to find the $215,000 to keep the gauges operational, saying they are key in providing advanced warning of disasters such as the flood of 2011.
