Seton Science Fair
2/21/2013 (Updated 10:57:48 PM)
Normally, the fair is for 7th and 8th grade students but this year high school students were invited to make presentations as well.
Organizers say this is training for future careers in scientific field.
"Yeah I Like science, and I get to play sports too. So it's a win win, two of my favorite things to do," said Matthew Goodherg, 7th grader.
"I think that these kids by being exposed to science and technology early on they know these jobs are available to them. And if they learn to love science, technology, and engineering, I'm sure they'll follow through with it," said Linda Garbade, Science Teacher.
The projects were judged by Cornell and Binghamton University students as well as BAE Systems engineers.
