The NCAA announced today that BU guard Rayner Moquete has been ruled academically ineligible for the rest of the season.
Moquete has not played since January 12th against Boston University. In 16 games with the Bearcats Moquete's 138 points and 8.6 points per game rank third on the team, he's 2nd in assists with 23, and 7th in rebounds with 41.
"We have high academic standards for our student-athletes and I expect all of our players to meet those standards. I'm disappointed that Rayner fell short but he has the full support of our program and I know he will learn from this. We expect him to focus all his efforts on his classwork in the spring," said Head Coach Tommy Dempsey
