BU's Plan to Stop Spread of Flu
1/17/2013 (Updated 11:14:24 PM)
Student health services says everyone should get vaccinated before school starts on January 28th. Faculty and staff are already getting vaccinated, and sanitizers and wipes will be available around campus.
"We're hoping they take our advice, actually get the flu vaccine while they're home so that when they're back in school they don't have that problem. But if anything should arise, we always have health service on campus where they can go and see a nurse or a doctor and actually get medical treatment if needed," said Jazell Johnson, a health educator for Decker Student Health Services Center.
Johnson says if you do get the flu -- drink lots of fluids, wash your hands, and stay home until the symptoms improve.
