Church Property Becomes Part of Davis College

After a year-long process, the Blessed Sacrament Church property in Johnson City is now officially a part of Davis College.

Representatives from the former Roman Catholic Church and Davis College met for a ceremonial deed exchange. The new addition will be called Chrisfield Campus-- it will feature a technology center, large chapel, ten classrooms, and two residential buildings.

"There's an emotion to all of that, and the celebration will come in the weeks and months to come because it's a great addition to our campus," said Davis College President Dr. Dino Pedrone.

The Davis College community is trying to raise two million dollars to complete the development of the new campus-- so far the school has raised half a million.
