Demolition of what remains of the Old Pa's Woodshed Site on Montgomery Street in Binghamton has begun.
Excavators, backhoes, and other heavy equipment was being used Friday to knock down walls and other parts of the ruins which present a hazard at the site.
No word yet on how long it will take to make the site secure, and remove the many tons of rubble.
The fire, which broke out late Wednesday night is still being investigated.
Arson, or an accidental ignition by squatters trying to keep warm are possible causes.
