Endwell Woman Faces Charges After Test Drive

An Endwell woman is facing charges after she took a car for a test drive, and just kept going.
 
Police say 44-year old Laura Sturgeon and a friend took a Toyota Ticoma pickup truck for a test drive at a Town of Union dealership around 4:30 Friday evening.

After two hours, the sales person notified the Broome County Sheriff's Office the vehicle had been stolen. 

Sturgeon was identified by a police officer later that night around 8:30 at a gas station in the Town of Union. 

She told police she had taken the car to run errands and planned on returning the vehicle when she was done. 

She will appear in court at a later date.
