Unemployment in the Area

According to the State Labor Department unemployment statistics 8% of people in the greater Binghamton area were unemployed this November.

According to their survey 7,500 people in Broome County and 2000 in Tioga County were without a job.

These numbers are slightly than lower than October's unemployment rates but consistent with the 2011 November statistics.
