12-12-12 Birthdays

December 12, 2012 could be celebrated in many ways-but what better way than a birthday?

"My grandparents have called me saying 'have her wait till 12-12 it will be weird' and it actually happened,"  said Jordan Pigeon, father of Melanie Jane Pigeon, born on 12-12-12.

"I was more focused on the labor than what date it was," said Lindsey Pigeon.

Lindsey Pigeon gave birth to Melanie Jane at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton at 12-12 this morning. At 8 pounds and 4 ounces, her weight even equals 12.

"It's weird, It's real though.  She'll never forget it. Neither will I," said Lindsey Pigeon.

Meanwhile, across town, Joshua Coby celebrated his 12th birthday.

"It was kind of ironic that I would be turning 12  around 12 on the 12th day of the 12th month of the year in 2012, but I never thought it would land me on TV," said Coby.

And at Fox 40, Eric Betts worked through his 24th.
 
"They actually called me in 20 minutes early for a story but there was cake so it kind of made up for it," said Betts.

No matter what kind of day it was--

"It was just like any other day," said Betts. 
"The luckiest day of my life," said Coby.
"Got to mean she's special," said Jorrdan Pigeon.

The next time a month, date, and year will share the same number is January 1, 2101.
